Michele Simon is a partner of Benford Brown & Associates, LLC. Michele spent a substantial portion of her career within the banking industry prior to joining Benford Brown & Associates, LLC. Michele has provided audit, accounting, tax and consulting services to companies within many different industries, including the not-for-profit and government industries. Based on her various career experiences Michele has acquired several advanced skills such as bank loan review management, business and management credit analysis, business plan writing and evaluation, not-for-profit accounting, Head Start accounting and reporting, and individual and corporate taxation.

Michele has worked as a loan review officer and privacy policy coordinator at Seaway National Bank; internal auditor at Bank of America and First Bank Systems; and senior credit analyst at Harris Bank, NA and Comerica Bank.

Michele earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and her Master of Science in Accounting from Roosevelt University.  She is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and the National Association of Black Accountants and currently serves on the finance committee of the L.E.A.R.N. Charter School in Chicago.
